ADVOT – LEADERSHIP PIPELINE FOR THE ISRAELI EDUCATION SYSTEM

The Education Pipeline Program is a joint program of the Ministry of Education and MAOZ, whose goal is to create a management pipeline for professionals in all aspects of the education system. The program intends to create a shared language around the education system’s core challenges, to increase trust between senior players in the system’s various focus points of influence, develop existing leaders within the educational system and create a network of change-making leaders that collaborate to create meaningful change.

Educational leadership that is collaborating vis-à-vis the challenges facing the education system in Israel, while striving to create a shared language and prepare the system for a dynamic, unexpected and changing future.

  1. High-quality leaders working towards the common good with improved capabilities of learning and adaptability on an individual and organizational level
  2. Systemic and multi-sector actions that promote a 24/7 educational continuity.
  3. Processes and outcomes that create trust and consent between leaders from diverse populations in the educational system.
  4. The development of excellence in managerial echelons of the educational system.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

The admissions process includes four stages: initial registration questionnaire, evaluation day, interviews with recommenders and acceptance committee with representatives of the program’s board of directors and MAOZ team.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Program members participate in approximately six weeks of intensive learning that involves constant friction with real-life challenges, in Israel and the USA, on getting to know the public sphere on a community, municipal, national and international level, while dealing with questions of value and identity. The learning emphasizes the world of education. The program includes getting to know the influencing players in the education system, governmental and educational authorities in the local and national sphere, lectures of senior government officials and various experts, workshops on leading change, etc. Part of the program is based on fellows’ learning and shared consultation of their current professional challenges.
