Professional background

Yehuda provides strategic for the Haredi education system specifically in training and professional development. Inthis role he has founded branches of academic institutes, introduced progressive initiatives and innovative approaches for special needs students as well as for early childhood education. He also has created programs for teacher trainings in both Jerusalem and rural areas targeted for Haredi and Hasidic communities in an effort to increase access and opportunities for higher education and professional training. Today Yehuda directs the education administration in Beitar Illit overseeing instruction for 24,000 students across 87 facilities, yeshivas and seminaries. Yehuda incorporates social and communal involvement and focuses on retention among young Haredi students. Yehuda is a member of the Israeli Hope in Education Forum based in Beit HaNassi. The forum was created in the spirit of the Tribes’ Speech in order to facilitate connection and understanding amongst Israel’s disparate tribes. Yehuda is a member of Benenu, a nonprofit that supports families with children with special needs and disabilities.

About

Yehuda lives in Beitar Illit with his wife and ten children. He enjoys teaching and believes in the importance of learning; he is committed to self-teaching and training which contributes to both personal and professional growth.

Education

With a degree in education, Yehuda is also certified by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. He holds an MA in system management from Lifshitz College of Education, and a bachelor’s degree in special needs education from Jerusalem College Michlala. He is a graduate of the School of Educational Leadership.
