A partner at accounting firm BDO, Widad is the head of a unit that provides consulting services to some of Israel’s largest financial institutions. Since joining the firm 12 years ago, Widad has held various management positions and worked toward improving the consulting unit’s positioning in the financial cluster.
Her work with the unit requires her to stay up to date with the regulatory and business ecosystem, be well-versed in the services offered, and know her way around innovation. The unit has a diverse multidisciplinary team with expertise in industrial engineering and management, economics and accounting. The unit serves Israel’s biggest banks, credit card companies, insurance companies and investment houses.
Widad is originally from Yafo. She is married to Wassim, an attorney. She has three children: Mustafah, Mariam, and Zizo. In her spare time, she likes running along the lovely Tel-Aviv Promenade.
Widad went to a private high school belonging to the Church of Scotland. She has a bachelor's in economics and accounting from Tel-Aviv University. She is also a certified public accountant.
