Professional background

Since 2007, Moshe has served as the CEO of Tzohar, an organization that serves to improve Jewish life for all Jews in Israel through rabbinic leadership, public policy and grassroots service. He concurrently serves as a member of a number of organizations -  the Council for Experiments on Animals in the Ministry of Health, the Forum for Government Stability, the Public Management of the Eretz Hemda Institute’s “Gazit” Rabbinical Court system and its foundation, and as a member of the regulatory board at the Jewish Legal Heritage Society.From 2011 to 2012, Moshe served as an instructor at the Hesder Yeshiva schools in Beit Shemesh and Efrat. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2008, Moshe served as the Chairman of the Gazit Union of Rabbinical Courts for Civil Affairs. From 1996 to 2012 Moshe headed a branch of Yad Sarah. Over the years, Moshe has published articles and co-authored several books on matters of Jewish law.

Education

Moshe holds a PhD in Jewish law and a master’s in Jewish law (cum laude) from Bar-Ilan University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the Ono Academic College and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences with a focus in psychology and sociology from the Open University. In addition, Moshe completed judgeship and rabbinical training at the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.
