Merav has been the deputy director for education and implementation at Digital Israel headquarters in the Ministry of Social Equality since November 2017. In the framework of her position she is responsible for formulating policy and implementing it in the worlds of education, labor and welfare in the digital age.Previously, from 2010-2017, Merav was the director of government programs at the Institute for Leadership and Governance of JDC Israel, and led teams developing senior public leadership in the civil service.Prior to that, from 2005-2010, she led social educational projects in the Negev and at Ben Gurion University, and from 1999-2004 she was the director of the Midreshet HaDarom – an organization promoting informal education.
Merav lives in the community settlement of Ganei Tal. She is married to Elad and is the mother of three boys: Eyal, Ido and Ron. In her free time, she volunteers in various community and educational projects where she lives.
Merav holds a master’s in sociology and a bachelor's in psychology and sociology – both from Bar-Ilan University. She is a graduate of the Program for Young Educational Leadership at the Mandel Leadership Institute and completed training in the field of systems theory and complexity science, and in the field of training development and group facilitation.
