Ido is the director of the Yerucham education branch. In February 2013, he retired from the Air Force after 25 years of service with the rank of lieutenant colonel. In the framework of his service, he performed most roles in the field of unmanned aircraft and commanded the school for training unmanned aircraft operators.Ido is a mathematics teacher and until 2019, he directed the Regional Center for Science and Technology Education in Yerucham. He gives lectures in various forums in the fields of technology education in the periphery and combat ethics.
Ido lives in Yerucham. He is married and the father of four children. His wife is a carpenter, maintenance and construction supervisor. He has many hobbies, mainly connected to the worlds of music and extreme sports.
Ido holds a master’s in mathematics education from the Kibbutzim College, and a bachelor's in mathematics and computer science from Bar Ilan University. He is a graduate of the squadron commanders training course and the Ministry of Education’s principals’ course.
