Professional background

Fadwa began working in Beit Jann local council in 1989 first as bureau manager for the head of the local council. Since 2004 she has managed human resources for the local council;she is the first Druze woman in this position. She is also in charge of public inquiries, a member of the women’s council and works closely with the local nonprofit WePower.She has served as a board member for the CEO Union since 2013, and is currently chairwoman of the external relations committee.In a previous role, Fadwa worked as a library manager andtypist in an elementary school where she also established a library.Fadwa also served as the women’s advancement consultant (2006-2013) and chairwoman of the workers’ committee (1991-1995) – the first woman elected for chairwoman of a committee in the non-Jewish sector.

About

Fadwa is married and has four children and one granddaughter. She likes learning, enjoys travelling with her family in Israel and around the world.

Education

Fadwa has a BA in political sciences and a teacher’s certificate. She is an alumna of the authority CEO training program, a personal coach and participant of the digital leaders for the local authorities program. She has completed various certificate programs in mediation, political leadership, and personal coaching.
