Professional background

Since September 2015, Asher has served as the CFO of Digital Israel’s national bureau at the Ministry of Social Equality. From 2012 to 2015, Asher served as the manager of the Public Transportation Unit in the Budget Division of the Ministry of Finance.Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, Asher served as a team member at the Transportation Unit in the Budget Division of the Ministry of Finance. Simultaneously, Asher taught economics and society at the Jerusalem Pre-Military Leadership Program. During his undergraduate studies, Asher completed an internship at the Budgeting Division of the Ministry of Finance, as well as at Government Companies Authority.In 2007, Asher established and headed the Forum for Education (NGO). In addition, Asher founded and headed the Jerusalem Group for Humanistic Jewish and Zionist studies.

Education

Asher holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and Israeli thought from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and he is an alumnus of the Program for a Future in Public Leadership, the honors program at the Hebrew University. In addition, Asher studied education and leadership at Oranim College.
