In his current role, Asaf oversees the establishment of transportation infrastructure amounting to tens of billions of shekels in large projects throughout the State of Israel. These projects range from heavy rail to metro, light rail in metropolitan areas, and development of road and public transport projects in urban and interurban areas. Before assuming his current position, Asaf held a number of roles in the Ministry of Finance, such as defense establishment coordinator and administrative ministry reference.
A Ramat Gan resident, Asaf is married to Dafna and is the father of Daniella and Noa.
Asaf obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from Tel Aviv University and a master's degree in business administration with a specialization in finance from the Hebrew University.
